Summary
Once files have been uploaded to the platform, clients will more often than not like an export of the documents either for the purpose of producing hard copies or for internal records. They are able to generate exports on a per document or multiple document basis and the settings of each export can be amended using the tool on the platform.
The aim of the session is to understand how to export documents from the platform using the tools that are available internally and to end users.
By the End
You should have been shown the following:
- A breakdown of the 'Export' tool and 'Export Manager'
- How to export a single document
- How to export multiple documents as a 'Single PDF'
- How to export multiple documents as 'Multiple PDFs'
- How to export 'Natives' from the platform
- The 'Export Folder' tool
- How to print documents from the platform using the 'Print' tool
- How to download the 'original' version of documents within the 'Native' field on the platform
- How to export a 'Word' index from the platform
Points to Note
- Exports should always be QC'd before they are sent to clients. We should be checking that:
- All of the relevant documents have been included
- None of the documents are corrupt i.e. 0kb in size
- The HTML index that accompanies exports works
- Exports can be accessed from within the 'Export Manager' or they will appear in your downloads once complete on the basis that your 'Pop-Ups' are not blocked.
- Word indices that are exported from the platform will only include the metadata fields that are viewable at the time of the export. If any fields that are not being displayed should be included in the index, they will need to be made viewable within the list of options under 'View'.
Following the Session
Ensure you can do the following:

- Exported a folder of documents from the platform, including PDFs and native files
- Exported multiple documents across various folders
